Process

How source claims get checked.

Health-adjacent copy should be boring, sourced, and easy to challenge. This page is the maintenance checklist for future edits.

Primary-source first

Prefer FDA, DEA, TSA, CDC, NIMH, MedlinePlus, Poison Control, 988, SAMHSA, and official product labeling over blogs or social posts.

No unsupported product claims

Do not publish manufacturing, ingredient, certification, country-of-origin, medical, or performance claims without matching documentation.

Review triggers

Re-check sources before product launch, label updates, paid ads, email campaigns, new medication content, or any claim involving safety, interactions, or minors.

Escalate uncertainty

If a claim might change care behavior, remove it or route it through a clinician, pharmacist, regulatory counsel, or supplier documentation review.
